5 Top Weekend Events For Kids (June 1-4, 2023)

Fairy Fest Riveredge Nature Center

The Riveredge Nature Center is hosting its first ever Fairy Fest! Celebrate the mythology, lore, and the flying beings that inhabit Riveredge: Robbie the Gnome, Bigfoot, fairies, minpins, reedgivers, butterflies, dragonflies, fairy shrimp, and more!

Activities will include storytelling with fantastical friends; making of flower crowns, wings, and wands; creating a take-home fairy garden’ learning all about fairy friends (butterflies, dragonflies, and other pollinators) and how to take care of them; and face painting. Plus, brew a fruity “potion” to drink!

For ages 2-12. Children should be accompanied by an adult (no charge for adults). Costumes encouraged!

NOTE: Pre-registration required by Thursday, June 1 at 11:59 p.m.

Milky Way Drive-In Franklin Wisconsin

Get two outdoor movies for the price of one at the Milky Way Drive-In this Sunday! Disney and Pixar’s Luca starts at 5 p.m., followed by Disney’s Encanto. There will be a brief, 15-minute intermission between the two movies, which are both rated PG. Available concessions include popcorn, candy, and beverage options for both kiddos and adults.
