Get spirited away at downtown Milwaukee’s second annual Halloween-themed Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee in Red Arrow Park. Ideal for kids ages 2-10 and their parents, this pumpkin palooza offers a safe environment to celebrate Halloween

Grab a free pumpkin from the pumpkin patch (while they last) and handfuls of free goodies. Free activities include a kids’ costume parade, story time, pumpkin decorating and carving demonstrations, face painting, bubble playtime, character meet and greets, and more!

New this year are fall-themed produce and sweet treats sold by Weston’s Antique Apple Orchard, Doughnuttery Mayfair, Pop’s MarketPlace, and Cottonmouth MKE.

Wisconsin Science Festival Milwaukee Public Museum

Someone lit the Black Flame Candle, and now you get to party with the Sanderson Sisters on an Edelweiss cruise!

Have your picture taken with the wicked witches (keepsake photo provided), and eat a hot dog lunch with chips and Kool-Aid (cash bar available on board for the adults).

Be sure to arrive 45 minutes prior to departure to get pictures taken.

Dance with the Halloween-themed Fairytale Princesses presented by Fairytale Birthday Company, enjoy laser light shows and bring your phone/camera to capture yourself in the not-so-spooky Halloween displays throughout The Yard.

Along with traditional food, music, and dancing, gain insights into the rich tradition of ofrendas (altars adorned with offerings) and explore the mesmerizing candle-lit Desert Dome.

Local artisans will showcase their unique crafts, complemented by captivating music and dance performances. It’s a rare opportunity to immerse oneself in a vibrant community celebration at one of Milwaukee’s most iconic event spaces.

Día de los Muertos Festival and 5K

Saturday, October 28, 2023, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (5K begins at 9 a.m.)
Admission: FREE
This family-friendly event provides attendees with an insight into the traditions of Dia de los Muertos in a picturesque setting.

The festivities begin with a 5k Run/Walk through the cemetery grounds in the early morning. Starting at 10 a.m., visitors can explore various offerings, from local vendor stalls and children’s arts and crafts areas to food trucks. Traditional music and dance performances are scheduled throughout the day.

Additionally, there will be altars dedicated to the departed in the chapel, face painting stations, and community resource booths, among other attractions.
