February is here, and there’s tons of family-friendly fun to be found in the Milwaukee area! Here are our top picks for the weekend:

All-Scale Train Show Mitchell Park Domes Milwaukee Wisconsin

From the tiniest Z-scale toy trains to the largest garden-scale rolling stock, the All-Scale Train Show will transport visitors to a model railway paradise. This event is offered in conjunction with the annual train show that takes place in the Show Dome.

The weekend of the All-Scale Train Show will include train exhibitors throughout both the lobby and Greenhouse #7. Sommerfeld’s Hobbies will offer model trains and parts for sale. Concessions will be available in the greenhouse, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.

The All-Scale show is included in regular Domes admission.

Unicorn World Baird Center Milwaukee Wisconsin

This magical, immersive family experience at the Baird Center includes life-sized unicorns and a fun day full of unicorn activities and rides! Meet animatronic unicorns, explore the enchanted forest, and enjoy unicorn-themed arts and crafts. New this year: balloon bubble houses, a magic wishing wall, a professional photo opportunity, and more! Timed entry tickets must be purchased online in advance.

Winter Frolic at Mequon Nature Preserve

Admission: FREE
Take a tractor and sleigh ride while sipping hot chocolate, make some s’mores, play fun winter games, go ice fishing and snowshoeing, walk the trails and read the Storybook Walk, and maybe make a snowperson! There will be two different sessions: 10 a.m.-Noon and 1-3 p.m. One ticket per family is required.

Winterfest at the Urban Ecology Center
Saturday, February 3, 2024, 11 a.m.– 2 p.m.
Head to Washington Park for winter fun, weather conditions permitting. Bring your friends and family along for an afternoon of crisp winter hikes, speeding down the sledding hill, warming up with drinks around a fire, and more!

Pet Expo MKE Wisconsin Expo Center State Fair Park

This charitable event, formerly known as the Great Lakes Pet Expo, is open to all pet lovers! It features more than 143,000 square feet of the Midwest’s best pet loving shopping and services, live entertainment, activities and education, and the opportunity to meet Wisconsin’s cutest adoptables.

All proceeds from this event are given back to the animals of Wisconsin by way of the non-profit organizations (rescues, shelters and sanctuaries) who care for them.

Bradley Symphony Center Milwaukee Wisconsin Festival City

On the first Sunday of every month, you can bring the whole family to Up-Down Milwaukee, an arcade and nostalgia-based bar featuring more than 60 arcade games from the ‘80s and ‘90s, pinball machines, three classic skee-ball alleys, and Nintendo 64 console gaming. All games cost just 25 cents.

This event is free to attend and is open to all ages. All minors MUST be accompanied by someone who is 21 or older.
