This year’s first FREE Sunday Family Fun Day, sponsored by Milwaukee With Kids, is taking place this Sunday at the accessible and inclusive Northwestern Mutual Community Park, located in Henry Maier Festival Park. This month’s theme is “Summerfest.”

Attendees will enjoy access to family-friendly programming, food and drink options, and interactive activities offered by community organizations like Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Milwaukee Ballet and Boys & Girls Clubs.

There will also be face painting and roaming performers (balloon artists, jugglers, stilt walkers, and more).

For one day each year, Riveredge becomes extra magical. Celebrate the mythology, lore, and the flying beings that inhabit Riveredge. Robbie the Gnome, Bigfoot, fairies, minpins, and reedgivers; butterflies, dragonflies, fairy shrimp – let’s see who visits!

Activities will include: storytelling; DIY flower crowns, wings, and wands; create a take-home fairy garden; learning about butterflies, dragonflies, and other pollinators; brew a fruity potion to drink; face painting, and more. Costumes are encouraged!

Locust Street Festival of Music & Art

This festival is back for 2024 and will again include the Locust Street Beer Run by Lakefront Brewery! There will also be six live music stages, local vendors, artists, and food.
