For the 37th year, Gift of Wings is hosting their Family Kite Festival in Veterans Park. There will be a Grand Launch of 600+ kites at noon each day, as well as performances by professional kite flying teams, giant kites and more at this free event.
Free kites will be given away to the first 100 kids that participate in the Kids Mad Dash, where all will launch their kites at the same time. Gift of Wings will be selling kites and food during the event as well.

Never Forget our fallen brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, there will be 27,316 flags placed this year, representing Wisconsin’s killed in action from the Civil War through the present. Flag placement takes place between Monday, May 20, and Friday, May 24. The flags will be on display through May 30.

This is the final weekend for this year’s Spring Show at the Mitchell Park Domes – “Abstracting Georgia O’Keeffe.” A floral tribute to the art of Georgia O’Keeffe, the show features the blooms of Spring in all their glory. Immerse yourself in this unique exhibit, and identify the flowers that bring you joy.

The Village of Menomonee Falls presents a weekend of military tribute and community celebration, kicking off on Saturday with a 5K run at Mill Pond Park (8 a.m.). At Village Park, there will be a car show as well as a moving tribute to Veterans at the WWII Monument. The Tribute then moves down to Main Street, where the Opening Ceremony will be held on the Water Street Stage.
Other festivities include a Vendor Marketplace, Art Fair, YMCA Kids Fest, live music, and the well-loved Knights of Columbus “Lucky Ducky Derby” (duck drop at 3 p.m on Saturday.). Finally, the annual Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday at 10 a.m. on Main Street.
