Wonderland Bookshop, a new children’s bookstore, is set to open its doors this fall at 4001 N Downer Ave. This family-owned shop is designed to be a vibrant community hub for young readers, storytellers, and dreamers.
The shop will offer a carefully curated selection of books, toys, and gifts perfect for the little bookworms in your life, from enchanting picture books and captivating series for middle readers to engaging young adult novels.
The store’s whimsical design will draw inspiration from Shorewood’s rich history, particularly the early 20th-century Wonderland Amusement Park, which once brought joy and excitement to the area.
Wonderland Bookshop will also feature a cozy event space ideal for hosting themed tea parties, birthday celebrations, other literary-inspired gatherings, and even photography sessions.
For those who can’t visit in person, Wonderland Bookshop also offers an online bookshop and audiobook shop, allowing supporters from near and far to join in the adventure.
