Glow Skating and Family Activities Return to Milwaukee County Parks

Milwaukee County Parks is offering family activities through winter break and beyond, including glow skating indoor swimming, winter hiking, and pickle ball.

Glow skating is back at the Wilson Ice Arena, happening December 30th from 6:30-9:30 p.m. for $7.50. The cost includes skate rentals, glow sticks, and ice skating. Public skate will also run from 1 – 3:00 pm on weekdays. here. 

Indoor swimming is back at Noyes Pool and Pulaski Pool. Noyes Pool is a heated, 25-meter pool open year-round. Hours vary each day, but typically water exercise happens from 10:00-11:00 a.m., lap swimming is from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and open swim times from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Winter hiking is open at Wehr Nature center. The trails are open from 8:00am – 5:00pm each day. There is a $4:00 parking fee that you can pay with a QR code or at a pay station.

The Nature Center building will be closed to the public on December 26, January 1st, and January 2nd. The trails will be open for public use during that time. For more information on hiking at Wehr Nature Center head 

The Sports Complex will be open for both pickleball and open gym during break from 8:00 – 4:00 on most days. The cost is $2.00.

The sports complex is a year-round sports hub with a 55,000-square-foot fieldhouse that hosts volleyball, indoor soccer and basketball, and outdoor athletic fields that host rugby, football, lacrosse and soccer.
