Are you a parent in Milwaukee looking for fun and engaging activities for your children this summer?
Milwaukee Recreation has got you covered with their summer playground program offering free games, activities, and meals through the summer.
Starting from June 12, 2023, kids aged 6 to 17 can enjoy a wide range of enrichment activities, play opportunities, and even free meals at various playground sites across the city.
Milwaukee Recreation’s playground program is designed to provide children with a safe and enjoyable environment.
The program operates on a “free drop-in” basis, which means that children can come and go as they please.
While all locations are staffed and offer enriching games and activities, general supervision is only provided for children who choose to stay on-site. It’s important to note that the program is not a substitute for child care or other registration-driven programs.
One of the highlights of the program is the provision of free meals. These meals are served seated and must be consumed on-site.

The playgrounds are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, giving you and your family ample time to explore and make the most of these fantastic resources.
Additionally, Milwaukee Recreation has planned some exciting program opportunities, including traveling adventures field trips and roving playground activities. It’s going to be a summer filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
