Cozy Nook Farm has been around for generations, and its history is deeply rooted in Wisconsin’s agricultural tradition.
Operated by the Oberhaus family, the farm is a working dairy with 65 cows, primarily Brown Swiss and Guernseys, producing milk that’s shipped to Prairie Farms to be made into delicious cheese.
This makes your visit not just a fun outing, but a chance to experience firsthand the workings of a modern dairy farm and its role in today’s agricultural landscape.
The Stars of the Farm: The Cows
One of the most unique aspects of Cozy Nook is its focus on the cows. You can get up close and personal with them on the farm’s guided tours, during which you’ll meet baby calves, feed hay to the heifers, and learn about each stage of a cow’s life cycle, from birth to milk production.
The tours are a genuine glimpse into the workings of a dairy farm and a rare opportunity to see how milk goes from cow to carton.
Seasonal Fun: The Fall Market
Though Cozy Nook Farm is open for tours from spring through fall, the farm really comes to life in autumn.
The fall market, open from late September, features a wide variety of pumpkins, squash, and gourds—over 40 types in all. You’ll also find decorative items like Indian corn, broom corn, corn stalks, mums, and hay bales.
It’s the perfect spot to get into the fall spirit without the overwhelming crowds you might find at larger pumpkin farms.

Once fall winds down, Cozy Nook Farm shifts gears for the holiday season. Starting the Friday after Thanksgiving, they begin selling Christmas trees, wreaths, and garlands.
