Kite Festival Returns to Veterans Park May 27-28, 2023 (Free!)

The Canadian Dream team will bring giant kites this year.

The Wilde Subaru Kite Festival returns to Veterans Park this weekend, Saturday, May 27th and Sunday, May 28th, 2023.

The free event will run from 10:00-6:00 on Saturday and 10:00-5:00 on Sunday. There is plenty of free parking for attendees.

It will be the 36th year of the free festival on Milwaukee’s Lakefront.

One highlight of the event is the Grand Launch of hundreds of kites that takes place at noon.

The festival takes places in Veteran Park with plenty of free parking, and free admission for all.

There will also be world-renowned professional kite flying teams including the Fabulous Windjammers and the Chicago Fire Team.

The Canadian Dream Team from Montreal, Quebec will be back again this year with all new super giant whale kites and other giant kites.

Milwaukee’s own professional kite flyers, Mike Delfar and Paul Koepke, will also be performing.

Kids can take free kite flying lessons from the Kite Whisperer, Brett Williams.

And, UW Credit Union will be giving away free kites to the first 100 kids that participate in the “Kids Mad Dash”.

There will be food and beverages available for purchase.
